In the recently-concluded Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Drive On Championship. it was Ally McDonald who emerged as champion with Danielle Kang finishing in second place. Concluding her best result in her impressive rookie season was 22-year old Filipina in Bianca Pagdanganan. In just her sixth start on the lawn, Pagdanganan consistently remained as one of the leading swingers, and even though she didn’t get the top spot, the future is already looking bright for this Filipina golfer and, for Philippine golf in general.
The Filipina golfer finished with a two-under-70 which turned out to be her highest round in the competition- capping an aggregate 14-under-274. In her final go-around, she went bogeyless and despite her back-to-back birdies on the par-317th and par-518th respectively, it wasn’t enough for Pagdanganan to win it all but was huge enough to overtake Mina Harigae.
